Electronics are the fastest growing waste stream in Municipal Solid Waste; it grows 3-5% per year.   Americans retire 133,000 computers every day!   The average computer monitor contains 6 pounds of lead! It is estimated that in the next 5 years, over 500 million computers will be thrown in the landfill. One cell phone contains enough hazardous chemicals to contaminate 40,000 gallons of drinking water.

About Enchantment Electronic Recycling:

Enchantment Electronic Recycling was opened for business in September of 2005. Starting with a 1,000 square foot warehouse and a 2,000 square foot yard, we began recycling computers for commercial and residential customers. By April of 2006, we had run out of room and had to move into a larger facility. Now, Enchantment Electronic Recycling operates out of a 4,600 square foot facility with a 2,000 square foot yard. We are currently handling roughly 14 tons of equipment per month, but have the capacity to handle up to about 30 tons per month. By the end of 2008, we plan to be handling over 56 tons per month.
