Our Recycling Process:

When electronics enter our facility, equipment requiring certified destruction is seperated from the rest of the equipment.   The rest of the equipment is seperated into two streams; one being potentially reusable equipment and the other being obsolete or damaged. Potentially reusable equipment is tested and seperated into two categories. If the equipment is fucntional, it is refurbished and put back into general reuse. If the equipment is non-functional, it is reintegrated into the stream of electronics that are damaged or obsolete. Damaged or obsolete equipment is disassembled by hand and components are tested for their reusability. Components that are found to be unusable, are sorted into streams based on their composition. These streams are sent to a refinery to have precious metals smelted from them so that they can be reused in new equipment.

What is Accepted?

Enchantment Electronic Recycling is able to recycle almost anything with a plug or batteries. A list of accepted items includes:

Computers

Printers
Scanners
Copiers

VCRs/DVD players
Stereos
Medical Equipment
Testing equipment
Telecommunications Equipment
Cell Phones and Pagers
Batteries

We have recycled everything from electric razors to CT Scan machines. We also accept loose electronics parts. If your equipment is not on this list, please call to see if we can recycle it!

Data Destruction:

All hard drives that enter our facility are given a single pass binary over-write. This over-write is more effective than simply formatting a drive, because it over-writes the entire drive, as opposed to just the file allocation tables. Our facility also offers physical destruction of the hard drives. This is performed for $5 per hard drive. Discounts are available for large volumes.
